Halloween has been an adventure in discovery. I declared I wanted to be a spider before I knew what the holiday was all about, and was cautiously intrigued by witches and all the spookiness, even to the point of refusing the business of trick or treating because there might be witches out. But, when the time came, I got right into it and had a great time knocking on doors, saying all the right things (trick or treat, happy Halloween, and thank you), and accepting treats. It was, as I like to say now, “fantastic!”
